In the first live acoustic performance in living memory in the Edwardian horseshoe theatre on Colchester High Street (opened in 1905 as the Grand Variety Theatre and now Liquid nightclub), we presented the young jazz pianist and Mercury nominee Gwilym Simcock, winner of both the Perrier Award and BBC jazz award.
Gwilym Simcock played pieces from his critically acclaimed Mercury nominated album “Good Days at Schloss Elmau” and more recent compositions.
