Festival Highlights

We would like to showcase some marvellous artists performing at this year’s festival.

GHGGAM

We would like to bring to your attention some of the major events at this year’s festival, so you have the opportunity of booking your seat before the evenings sell out.

We have teamed up with Le Talbooth, one of the most wonderful restaurants in East Anglia, to offer you a very special evening on Thursday 26th September. The talented chefs at Le Talbooth will prepare a feast of hog roast, steak, salmon, sausages and salads, followed by dessert, coffee and chocolates, and the incomparable voice of Gwyneth Herbert (above left) with her band will make for a perfect evening in the stunning riverside setting. Everything, including sparkling wine and canapés, is included in the ticket price. Drinks served from 7pm.

We are incredibly lucky to have persuaded two stars from the opera world – soprano Mary Jean O’Doherty and baritone Gary Griffiths (centre photo above) to sing famous arias by Mozart, Rossini, Verdi, Strauss and Tchaikovsky, in another unique and beautiful space – the Long Gallery in Layer Marney Tower. Tickets (£17.50 or £35 for front row seats) include a glass of English Champagne and canapés.  Tuesday 1st October, 7pm for 8pm Book now…

Finally, we are thrilled to announce that Roman River Music’s patron and renowned violinist Anthony Marwood (above, right) will play Mozart’s Violin Concerto no 3 with the Roman River Festival Orchestra. In the same concert, the Festival Choir will perform Beethoven’s glorious Mass in C with four young soloists from Glyndebourne and the Royal Opera House – Keri Fuge (soprano), Anna Huntley (mezzo), Greg Tassell (tenor) and Samuel Evans (baritone). Saturday 5th October, 6pm at Stoke by Nayland Church, followed by the end-of-festival party. Book now…
